I like it. Very Small And Compact. Great Features. Only Drawback, sounds a little noisey.

This was a great purchase. It accurately reads heart rate. No chest strap needed. I am able to check my heart rate quickly and easily during workout or at rest. It does require that I slow my pace somewhat during running workouts, but I easily learned a routine that works for me. I don’t need a fancy computer on my wrist, just this well-made heart rate monitor watch with timer, lap-timers, calories burned calculator, and heart rate percentage readings. Great watch, great price.

I’ve been through two of these watches in the past 18 months. The first on quit after about a year. MIO took it back and replaced the battery, but kept it for over a month. I bought a second one while waiting for that one to come back. First one lasted another two months then stopped reading heart rate.
Second one lasted about 8 months, needed battery replacement three times. Changed the battery again yesterday….now it will read once, then quits. I’ve ordered a Suunto…….

Watch worked OK while it worked, but stopped reading Heart Rate after just a couple of months. Cost about $50 for the watch, but they want $30 for a warranty repair. I got a new watch with more funtionality than theirs from SportLine for less than $30.

I purchased this watch based on the decent rating on Amazon. But this watch is very temperamental and frustrating, and I found it very difficult to get an accurate reading most of the time. It might be functional enough for someone wanting to get their resting heart rate sitting down, but I would not recommend this watch to people who want to measure their heart during workouts.

The watch looks cool, and sits well on my wrist.
You have to be absolutely still when trying to measure the pulse otherwise 9 out of 10 times the watch won’t give a reading at all or give an astronomically high pulse reading (usually 212).
When exercising, getting still enough for the monitor to work is practically impossible and by the time you have, you’ve slipped out of your groove.
Great though for checking your pulse when sitting in the office.
The watch is advertised as being able to give a pulse reading in the water, however it doesn’t work when it is on my wrist or is wet. That means when I’m sweating, or swimming, no go. More or less useless for sport.
Today, while swimming, my arm collided with the head of the person coming in the other direction, and………. the watch broke. The other swimmers head is still intact. Good riddance to a watch that was garbage to begin with.

I started on a path to weight loss in January 2009. I bought a scale, a pedometer, and fell in love with http://www.sparkpeople.com. I bought a few games for the Wii and in June I purchased the ePulse. All of these tools have helped me to lose 73 pounds so far. It’s amazing. And this wonderful gadget is perfect for giving you accurate information regarding the calories you burn.
I wore it for a week straight (about 10 hours a day) to record & learn what my “normal” activity rate is. With that information I was able to come up with the right number of calories I need to consume in order to lose the weight. It’s been a great success. I have used it to tell me how many calories I burn while gardening, housecleaning, painting, washing the car, working out with the Wii and countless other activities. It’s become a huge part of my weight loss journey.
Impact Sports Technologies is a great company as well. I had a question on how the ePulse figures the math and when I called customer service I got the information I needed right away. Last Saturday a sensor on the ePulse went bad. I emailed the company & they quickly replied that they would send out a replacement and a SASE to return my ePulse. I got the replacement in no time flat & I couldn’t be happier. This tool has helped me not only lose weight, but it’s helped to keep me motivated to do more. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, accurate & effective caloriemeter and heart rate monitor.

This product was received as a christmas present, but did not really get used until April. It worked just the way it was supposed too, and seemed to be very accurate.
However in July it stopped working and would only read low battery. I called Zak at customer support and he immediately shipped me a replacement along with a prepaid envelope to send the old one back. I am very pleased with the way they stand behind their equipment and highly recommend them.

good product, works well…I have an arrhythmia and wear it every day while I am walking or exercising to check my heart rate. I wanted something that was easy to read without the inconvenience of a chest strap and this fllls that need. The band is comfortable and display is clear. I am very happy with this product

I had a polar, but couldnt get used to the chest-strap. This device works really well. You have to be careful of placing it on your arm in the correct position-I have a habit of placing it too close to the bone, which will give you “no signal”. Took me a few times to get it right! My only complaint is the claim of a long battery life. On Impacts web site, I think it says battery life is 50+ hours? I’m lucky if I get 10 hours out of mine. The good news? AAA batteries are relatively cheap and I can replace them, not having to send it to someone else. Thats the bad thing about the sealed battery. I live in a rural area and would have to ship it
to the manufacturer to get new batteries. Lord knows how long that would take! Thats not an issue with the epulse! Its a great little HRM!

The Good:
It is a descent wrist heart rate monitor that does not require a chest strap.
The LED is bright and the readings are accurate.
The Bad:
Battery life is not the best but not terrible.
At first I was not getting a pulse signal from my epulse. I noticed that the sensor
for sensing my pulse was opposite where I thought it should be so I reversed the display head(velcro on back) and put the epulse back on with the sensor at the bottom part of my arm. The pulse signal has been fine ever since. Maybe this was reversed on my epulse from the factory and I just corrected it. I do love my epulse. I use it primarily in Spin class. I am able to check my minimum, avg and maximum heartrate as well as calories burned after my workout. I primarily chose this HRM because it tends to be dark in my Spin class and this is the only HRM with a constant bright LED reading that I can see(I have 50 year old eyes).
Recommeded:

I am a cardiologist. This simple, no-frills product does exactly what I wanted: monitor my heart rate while exercising. It is likely to be more accurate than wrist-worn monitors.
It is cheaper than a competing product I found in WalMart, even including shipping.
Omron also makes the best home BP monitors (as reviewed in Consumer Reports) so I have confidence in them.

Excelent basic heart rate monitor. Does everything I need it to without any fuss. Easy to use. Only one thing I would improve – show heart rate alongside other readouts – like stopwatch or clock. But at $34 this is a great buy. Checking against other monitors, it is just as accurate. Would recommend to anyone.

I needed a monitor to help me exercise. I love it. I use it when I run and weight lifting. I would it give 5 stars, but I had a experienced the device flipping out on two occasions. It was not taking a reading one cold morning and when I went swimming. It might be a contact issue. Other than that I am very glad I bought it. I paid $30.00 for it. You get a pouch with the chest strap, watch, and a mount. I recommend it for those who are beginner to intermediate. If you are more serious athlete I would go with a polaris 6, you’ll pay 4 to 8 times more, though. Hope you found this helpful
