Ugh. I have been using this watch for over a month and have yet to have it work correctly. I have already had to glue the transmitter piece back together. If I do manage to find a connection I had better be careful not to run within 10 miles of the nearest ground projection or the satellite connection will be broken. Any stray wispy cloud or piece of floating cottonwood can cause the satellite connection to be lost. I love how the literature says it is great for hiking. Maybe above the treeline and cloud cover. So, if you are planning a trip to the top of Mount Everest, this may be the watch for you. Otherwise, save your money and your sanity.

I’ve had this HRM for about a year now and I love it. It works well. I’ve never had a problem with it. I did have to replace the batteries in the chest strap once but it was a snap. I’m going to order one for my wife soon.

This is my first heart rate monitor. I wasn’t sure about the chest strap, but I didn’t like the description of the difficulties of using the units that required placing fingers on the watch for pulse measurement. I like having continuous measurement, and getting the strap wet enough to work isn’t a problem. I also like having the readings show up automatically on the equipment in the gym.
I’m sure there are features in more expensive models that I would like, like memory of previous sessions; however, this does what I wanted for a price I was willing to pay (and batteries are user replaceable, which suits me too).

There is a problem that the activity timer sometimes malfunctions, especially if the time/set button is pressed during a workout to review the current time of day. Sometimes the readings of average heart rate and peak heart rate are also affected.

Just got it; love it.Total cost w S&H for about $40.00. Directions are easy…even for me. (I fear most gizmo/gadgets other than those having anything to do with cooking…love my Foreman grill, pressure cooker, food processors, etc…)I had this HR puppy tracking my BPM in less than 15 minutes from delivery. The Watch is extremely comfortable/hardly know you are wearing it. The face numbers are easy to read, chest monitor transmitr is lightweight/barely noticible…I did a 50 min workout…no problem. Just two buttons…on/off and Start. Excellent for the price. I saw one similiar for $110.00 in a sports shop…glad I ordered this one.

it shows my heart rate and how much time I have been running for. This is all I really need so I enjoy having it.

I got this for my biking but have been using it swimming too. Does what i want with bells and whistles what i don’t need. Nice having the time too. A bit tight for my wrists but I’m enjoying it.

I bought a black one for myself and liked it so much I bought this model for my wife. Easy to use, heart rate seems reliable, and has just enough features for our purposes. But, if you’re looking for a larger watch or have large wrists, this is not the watch to choose.

It worked fine for a while, even without interference from machines at the gym. Before a year was up, it stopped working. The watch part still works, but the strap doesn’t transmit any data. I have replaced both batteries and still, nothing. I would have expected more especially since I didn’t beat it to death and wear it every day

Really small, definitely a feminine look. The daughter loves it and with the HRM, all’s well in the world.
The actual receiver has much closer range than originally anticipated, but this isn’t the Olympics either. Good product.
HOWEVER: changing the battery for a Timex is akin to brain surgery. I’ve done it three or four times and it is not for the average person.
Beware of the watch battery, it devalues an otherwise great product.

I bought and used it for about 5 weeks, everyday. After pushing buttons for hours, I finally got it set up with my details and it worked great, for a couple of weeks. Then, it stopped counting the calories (one of the main reasons I wanted this gadget). The next day, it seemed to work again so off I went for another few weeks of daily workouts and calorie burn. Then, it stopped counting calories again and never counted another calorie after that. All the other functions seemed to work fine but the calories were zero every day for days. I finally sent it back and am searching for a replacement. Darn!

I’m a beginner runner and I bought this to help me keep myself within my target heart rate and measure how well I was improving. I took it out tonight for my jog and I really like the heart monitor. It fits well. I have a 32 inch chest (I’m female) and it fit just fine. For really slim females/males this might be a tad too large. It was comfortable and didn’t slip.
The watch itself took me about 10 minutes to figure out. I ended up using the chrono setting to track my heart/rate over the 55 min jog/walk I did. I input my zone as setting 3 (fat burn/weight loss) and input my weight for calorie burn calculation. This is where things get strange… after my 55 min exercise I looked at calories burned and this thing told me I had burned 810 calories. Now, I was jogging hard and my heart rate was 170bpm most of it, but I doubt I really burned that many calories. I’d be elated if that were true, but I don’t think it’s accurate. After some online searching I found this calculator [..]which gave me the same 800+ calories burned when I put in my details. I figured out that I had to put in my VO2 value (which I put as a 32) and then my calories burned went down to a more reasonable 484. So honestly I think there’s something missing from the calculator on the watch.
Regardless it was a good purchase and I’d recommend it.
It makes running more fun in my opinion!

this is my first fitness watch. I’ve been using this for over a month during the gym and when I run, about 2 hours a day. I love how it shows your heart rate so you’ll know you’re always in the right exercise zone. it has not failed me yet and I’m glad I bought it. The instructions are very easy to understand, especially for a first timer like me.

I purchased this heart monitor after borrowing a similar, but more expensive Reebok monitor from a family member. I found that this monitor was extremely easy to use and picks up my heart very quickly (better than the borrowed one I tried). The watch is nice and is easy to read even while jogging, biking, etc. This is my first heart rate monitor and I haven’t learned how to use all the features yet, but if you are looking to simply monitor your heart rate and track it while you work out, I think this is a great option.

alright i ordered the watch from amazon and i was very happy with the shipping and packaging and handling. 5 stars there. the watch came with three manuals, the watch and the chest transmitter and strap. very very easy to set and get started; after only 15 minutes i had the watch ready and set with all of my heart info including my max heart rate and zone intensity (they show in the manual how to find the heart info out). 4 stars there. right after the 15 minutes i geared up and went on a 20 minute bike ride to try it out; i can already get a basis of what my heart rate is during an exercise without a h.r.m. so i can account for the good accuracy of this device; it also shows at the end of your workout the average h.r., the peak h.r., minimum h.r., calorie burnage and lastly your heart recovery rate. 5 stars. the only downside is if you have a small wrist do not buy it because it is made for larger wristed people. 3 stars there

There was nothing wrong with the functions; however, the wrist band that i received was gray. One of the reasons why I got it was because people said it looked aesthetically pleasing and it was okay to wear it when you are not working out. The images on the site show that the wrist band is black which looks nice, but the gray wrist band makes the watch looks really ugly. Decided to send it back, which was the first time i ever had to do that when i bought something online. They weren’t able to replace it, only able to refund me.
